Betty Kay's Story
I live in Plymouth and am retired. I keep busy doing volunteer work and taking care of my mom who lives in a facility. I am a Center for Hospice Care volunteer, work on the Relay for Life committee and am on a few committees at my church.
My first husband passed away in 1996. I remarried 5 years later but that marriage ended in divorce. I did bookkeeping and was involved in management in my first husband’s businesses. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, enjoy reading and belong to a book club. Also enjoy traveling but that is difficult to do now with taking care of mom. I was able to spend winters in Arizona for about 12 years. I love growing flowers in the summer. I also make mesh wreaths some of which I sell and others I donate to various organizations. I eat out a lot as I really don’t like cooking for just myself. Occasionally I enjoy a trip to the casino.
And I truly cannot believe it has been over 50 years since graduation from high school. How is that even possible?
